2010 Summer Sting Racquetball League starts!

WELCOME to the 2010 Summer Sizzle Racquetball League at the Marion County YMCA! We are very excited about this “virtual” racquetball league format we are starting.  Now, you will be able to see your schedule, view your current ranking, and enter in your own scores.

 Here’s how the league system will work:

+  Click on link “Schedules” at the top of the home page . Then click on “standings.teamocala.com”.     Click your name within your division to display your schedule. If there are any changes made (i.e., new players added, BYE’s given, etc), you will be able to see these changes instantly.

+  Please CALL YOUR OPPONENT 24 hours before the match to verify date and time so we don’t have to deal with upset league players.   

+  Click on ‘Enter Scores’ to key in the results of each game. After a score is entered, your points will be awarded and the rankings list will be updated.  

LEAGUE RULES (these will also be posted at the courts):

* 2 games to 11 with a tiebreaker to 11.
* 2 serves for A, B, C & D Divisions. 1 serve for Open and Elite Divisions.
* Scoring: 1 point for playing match. 1 point for each game won.
* Wearing eye guards is mandatory.

B, C, & D divisions play Tuesday nights 5 – 9 p.m.
Open, Elite & A divisions play Thursday nights 5 – 9 p.m.

* If you don’t show up for – OR – you cannot make your scheduled match, call your opponent at least 24 hours ahead. It’s YOUR responsibility to reschedule the match.  You will need to make-up the match within 7 days of the scheduled match.  

* If you miss your scheduled match and did not call your opponent – OR – you did not make up your match within 7 days, it will count as a forfeit; your opponent will be awarded 3 points. Any competitor that carries more than 2 make-up matches will be contacted by a league coordinator.

* The top 4 finishers will play in the finals and prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners.

Fee:    $10 to be paid to TEAMOCALA via cash or check. Please pay Ernie, Michelle, or Rod.

DO NOT pay at the YMCA front desk. Your fee includes entry for the league and expenses for awards and food on finals night.

Liability Form:   You will need to sign the form when league fee is paid.
